We found rare discounts of up to 50 percent on durable duffels, packable gear, and carry-ons to make your summer trips easier.(Photo: REI/Canva)

We’re in the thick of summer travel season, and by now you might already have a road trip or a week-long escape to your favorite hidden gem behind you. Or maybe the best is still ahead—abucket-list national park tripin August, or aninternational hut-to-hut hikeover Labor Day.

Whatever your adventure of choice, yourtravel gearhas to be tough enough to get you and your essentials to your destination in one piece, despite the hazards of planes, trains, and automobiles. That means durable, functional, and suited to your trip’s specific demands—whether that’s surviving 12 hours on an overnight bus to Bangkok or digging your ID out of anoverstuffed day packin seconds flat.

Travel gear rarely goes on sale, especially at the height of summer travel season. But after a little digging, we realized that REI’stravel gear is up to 50% off, including a shocking 50 percent off most of itsREI Co-op travel gear. These genuinely good deals are guaranteed to make the rest of your trips a little easier (flight delays, unfortunately, are not our jurisdiction).
